Prohibited Policy

Here is a partial list of goods, services, and content prohibited on Afghan Connect

  • Weapons: This includes firearms, gun components, BB/pellet guns, stun guns, spear guns, and related items.
  • Explosives and Ammunition: This covers ammunition, gunpowder, fireworks, explosives, cartridges, and reloading materials.
  • Illegal Activities: Offers or solicitations related to prostitution, sex trafficking, or other illegal activities are strictly prohibited.
  • Harm to Minors: Any form of exploitation, endangerment, or trafficking of minors, including child pornography, is forbidden.
  • Recalled and Hazardous Items: This includes recalled products, hazardous materials, body parts or fluids, and unsanitized bedding or clothing.
  • Prescription and Controlled Substances: Prescription medications, medical devices, controlled substances, and related paraphernalia are not allowed.
  • Alcohol and Tobacco: The sale of alcohol, tobacco, unpackaged or tampered food, and cosmetics is prohibited.
  • Animals: Pet sales are not allowed, though rehoming with a small adoption fee is acceptable. Animal parts, stud services, or items from endangered species (e.g., ivory) are strictly banned.
  • Misrepresentation: False, deceptive, or misleading content, including “bait and switch” tactics or keyword spamming, is not permitted.
  • Offensive Content: Content that is obscene, defamatory, threatening, or malicious is prohibited.
  • Personal and Confidential Information: Do not post anyone’s personal, identifying, or confidential information without consent.
  • Government Assistance and Stolen Goods: Items such as food stamps, SNAP goods, stolen property, or goods with altered serial numbers are prohibited.
  • Government and Military Items: ID cards, government documents, police insignia, or military items that are not demilitarized per Defense Department policy are not allowed.
  • Counterfeit Items: This includes the sale of counterfeit, replica, or pirated items, as well as gift cards or tickets with transfer restrictions.
  • Gambling: Lottery tickets, sweepstakes entries, slot machines, or any gambling-related items are prohibited.
  • Spam: Misleading, irrelevant, over-posted, or miscategorized content, along with content designed primarily to drive traffic to external websites, is not permitted.
  • Unsolicited Products or Services: Promoting or linking to unsolicited products, affiliate marketing, multi-level marketing, or pyramid schemes is banned.
  • Legal Violations: Any goods, services, or content that infringes on the rights or laws of others is prohibited.
